Syncing Intervals on the Secfix Platform

  1. Secfix Agent (Computer Status):

    • Interval: Every 5 minutes

    • Description: The Secfix Agent checks critical security settings on employee devices, including antivirus presence, password managers, hard drive encryption, and screen lock status. Frequent syncing ensures security changes are detected and addressed promptly.

  2. Cloud Assets:

    • Interval: Midnight

    • Description: Secfix syncs cloud assets daily at midnight, ensuring all infrastructure updates are reflected in your dashboard and compliance status remains current.

  3. Identity Provider:

    • Interval: Hourly

    • Description: The platform syncs with your identity provider every hour to update user access and authentication data.

  4. HR System:

    • Interval: Hourly

    • Description: Employee data, including role changes and terminations, syncs every hour.

  5. Ticketing Systems:

    • Interval: Hourly

    • Description: Compliance-related tasks and incidents sync hourly to ensure your dashboard reflects the latest status of open and resolved security tickets.

  6. Automated Checks (Integrations):

    • Interval: Midnight

    • Description: Changes made within integrated systems — HRIS, IDP, ticketing, and the Secfix Agent — are reflected in the Automated Checks section the following day.

  7. Automated Checks (within the Secfix app):

    • Interval: Auto-refreshed

    • Description: Secfix automatically verifies compliance factors such as policy acceptance or security training completions, ensuring accuracy in real-time. These checks apply only to changes made within the Secfix app.

  8. Automated Checks (Cloud related checks):

    • Interval: Weekly

    • Description: Cloud-related compliance checks run weekly to maintain security and data accuracy.

  9. Secfix Summary Email:

    • Interval: Weekly

    • Description: A weekly email provides a summary of certification progress, including pending tasks, helping you stay on top of compliance efforts.
